Today I turned 20. To celebrate I'm eating pizza tonight with some friends. Normally birthdays consist of getting pissed and having a great day, right? Well we have our first (and coincidentally our most important) exam tomorrow, so today will be spent scurrying through books. Even though I need to revise all day, I'm kind of annoyed at the fact I wake up on my birthday, with no cards to open (thanks family, seriously, you're gems) and its just like a normal day. Its actually worse than a normal day because its cold and I have to work all day - if it was mid semester I'd be pissed all day!
Lesson 15: Birthdays genuinely do get worse as you get older. Not because you care about your age, but because fewer and fewer people bother to make the effort.
