A Night To Remember?

Yesterday I woke up at 7.30 (fucking god awful hour) to go to an exam that I seriously couldn't be arsed with.

It was the day of The Progress Test - the exam that nobody really can do well in. For those who don't know, the progress test is an exam that every student in the medical school takes, from years 1-5. The questions are very clinical in basis, and therefore in years 1 and 2, it's a bit of a joke. I tend to go for the answers that make it most exciting - a cold or cancer? I know which one I'd say.

Afterwards, I felt like a bit of fresh air (despite the freezing cold), so I walked back from Sackville to the Union, stopping at Blackwell's to pick up a new lab coat (finally) and some books, as well as a trip to the bank to pay in some cash. Having paid this cash in, I plan on buying myself an iPhone. Birthday gift for myself.

I spent the afternoon at my sister's house, getting to know Eva some more, and letting Becky do some stuff that needed doing without having to constantly keep an eye on her.

Last night I ended up going back to Viper Towers (for the millionth time), and having a chilled evening in with the lads and Helen. As per normal, it was a good night :) and we all ended up falling asleep dotted around Nicholson's room watching Flight of the Concords. We awoke at 2.30, all somewhat confused, for most to return to their rooms. I awoke this morning at 10.30, 8 hours later. After 10 hours sleep, I have to say, I feel massively refreshed.

Oh, and Nicholson, thanks for the bacon sarnie. Marfleet, don't pout. Nobody likes a mardy emo.

Lesson 18: Never underestimate the power of sleep to make you feel good.
