Hanging.

Thursday night was pub golf. Friday was a write off. We walked to the butchers in Withington (great selection of stuff there, especially the hot counter - £3 for a fry up?!) kitted out like a right bunch of freaks - Nicholson dressed for a tennis match (minus socks), me in pjs and a leather jacket, McGough wearing his standard clothing, Marfleet in some kind of Cockney lad getup and MICHAEL "THE KING" NESBITT wearing a full suit, including smart shoes. Don't ask why, we're not sure either. At 4pm Dominos provided us with more greasy sustenance and combined with countless episodes of 24 I managed to battle through to reach the ultimate target - getting to work. I left 1.5 hours later - I just couldn't stand the boredom any more. Returned to VT for yet more 24. And Independence Day. I ended up staying over again, thank you to Nicholson for sharing your bed with me once more. I bet you missed me.

I am very aware at the moment that I essentially live at Viper Towers, and I'm hugely grateful to all of the residents for putting up with me so much - god knows I wouldn't! I owe you all bigtime, and I will do something to pay you back, as soon as I can think of a gesture grand and amazing enough.

The house situation for next year is still very much unresolved. I need to work out what I'm doing, but at the moment it just seems like so much hassle. I have to gamble on it all whatever way I go about it, and that doesn't feel like it should be my only option, but unfortunately it is. I may well just become a homeless person. It makes more sense.

I worked again last night - a mammoth 6.5 hour shift until 3.30 this morning, followed up by a lovely Saajan kebab. At least I earned some money. My tips paid for the kebab. Some guys told me I looked "like I was into indie music" then proceeded to ask me many questions about the bands I like. They've given me some ideas for this weeks music choices.

Tonight I'm cooking dinner for Crames, and then we're off to the Pub Quiz at the Cheshire Cat. Can't stay up too late tonight, got a bloody hospital visit in the morning, then a lecture, then PBL at 3.30.  I just want to sleep, why can't the medical school understand this?!

Today's lesson comes from J Leadbetter, a lyric he heard at a gig the other night; (I'm sorry if this is a mis-quote, J, my phone deleted the original so I'm going from memory!)

Lesson 24: First love may not mean best love, and best friends may not mean best friends, but they mean that at some point, somebody cared.

Listening to: Stop Whispering - Radiohead.
